“Dave is no ordinary PT...he's a genius! Other PT’s that I’ve seen have a very formulaic one size fits all approach. Lot's of HIIT and superset weights. I wanted something different as I wanted to improve flexibility and movement as well as get fitter. Dave was brilliant. Far from being formulaic, he first assessed my movement, posture and overall goals. He then designed sessions that were very varied and focused on specific areas, eg shoulders or hips. He has also set me programs to do myself and recommended equipment to buy such as lacrosse balls (ouch!) and resistance bands. “In January 2014 I decided that I needed to lose weight as i was getting married in May. I booked a personal session with Dave and told him that my aim was to lose weight and get fitter in a 5 month time frame. We agreed to meet up once a week for a one to one session, and he gave me a different programme for me to work on in my own time. From day one Dave pointed out that in order for me to lose weight it meant I had to commit to going to the gym a minimum of three times a week, which included our one to one session. Along with my new work-out programme, Dave informed me that my work-out was 30% of the battle; the other 70 % was diet. Dave asked me to email him my weekly diet, and advised me to make some small changes that made all the difference in my battle to lose weight. I had committed to going to the gym three times a week, I would go Sunday and Wednesday giving me enough time to recover before I had my session with Dave. Friday was my workout day with Dave, and every Friday was different. My fitness levels were always challenged, and the extra push from Dave is what makes all the difference.
